chapter 1
Ana was on her scubaboard with her new friends Daniel and Laura. They were near the coral reef and they were trying to spot a bottle-nose dolphin. Daniel saw one and sped off with Laura to catch it and they left Ana. She was looking at some anglefish then she looked back and Daniel and Laura were gone. She wanted to go back to the Starfish. The starfish was a reasearch system at the bottom of the ocean. It was built in 2051. Ana had only moved to the Starfish 2 weeks ago. Just then she felt a nudge it was a Bottlenose dolphin b umping her playfully. Then she saw her friends Daniel and Laura. ''Sorry we left you"Laura said.''Its' OK," Ana replied. '' We were not fast enough to catch up to the dolpins," said Daniel. They followed the dolphins and they had a little play with them Ana went on one of the dolphins dorsal fin Suddenly a noise came the loudspeaker and they got back to the starfish and got dressed.
Chapter 2
The chapter started with Dr Tan calling a meeting with the scientists that an earthquake will occure and coming behind there will be a tsunami. It continued with Ana doing the drill with Dr Ramirez. It ended with Ana talking to her friend and asked what a tsunami was.
chapter 3
The chapter started with Ana and Dr.Ramirez practising the earthquake drill. It continued with Ana,Daniel and Laura meeting up to have dinner. It ended with the earthquake occuring.
Chapter 4
The chapter started with Dr.Tan calling a meeting and talking about a tsunami hitting the Hawaiin islands. It continued with Dr .Tan's helper, Rob Gilman running in the room and whispering to Dr.Tan. It ended with Dr.Tan announcing that one of the the Hawaiin islands do not have higher ground and Ana wondering if the Starfishers could help.
Chapter 5
The chapter started with everyone trying to make a plan to save the people on the Hawaiin islands. It continued with Ana recalling the dolphins. The chapter ended with Ana making the plan that the screen should be bent at one corner.
Chapter 6
The chapter started with the scubaboards trying to tow the screens to slow the tsunami down. The chapter continued with Ana asking Dr.Ramirez if she could go on the mission and Dr.Tan coming in and persuading Dr.Ramirez to let Ana go on the mission. The chapter ended with the wave starting to come onto the island.
Chapter 7
The chapter started with the big transport moving towards the islands and the scubaboards towing the screens into there place. The chapter continued with the wave starting to grow higher over the screens and crushing them. The chapter ended with Dr.Tan and Ana trying to evacuate the rest of the people from th Hawaiin islands.
Chapter 8
The chapter started with all of the people of the Hawaiin islands getting off the island. It continued with Dr.Tan announcing that they will be taken to the starfish. It ended with them going back to the starfish.
Chapter 9
This chapter started with everyone home at the starfish. The chapter continued with Ana seeing her friends and her Mum again. The chapter ended with news groups coming all over the place and Ana, Laura and Daniel being presented to the news group.
Book summary
The book started with Ana wanting to see what it is like living in the starfish. She was exploring the sea until an alarm came that everyone had to go back to the starfish and she got dressed. The story was going on when Dr.Tan announced that there will be an earthquake and everyone had to go through an earthquake drill. Then the book continued with Ana having dinner with her friends Daniel and Laura. They sat down and thats when suddenly the earthquake happened. Dr.Tan then announced that their will be an earthquake and they have to save the islanders of one Hawaiin island as they did not have any higher ground. The book then continued with the scientists coming up with plans until Ana called out that she had a plan to bend a corner of the screen to slow the tsunami down, so they did what Ana had planned. They were then taking action. They readyed the big transport and the starfishers towed the screen into position. As the book continued the tsunami was nearly there and they only got some islanders off the beach by then. And when the book contined on they had gotten everyone off the island and they made it just in time. They finally got back to the starfish where Ana saw her Mum and her Mum said welcome home, she finally realised that she was back at the starfish. She then saw her friends again and Dr.Tan said that news reporters were all over the place. Lets send a small group to them and that group is Ana, Laura and Daniel and then after that the work was over and it was a happy ending for everyone.

Chapter 3 started with the book trying to make you guess what it was describing and the thing that it was describing was called. Silly Putty! The chapter continued with how Silly Putty got on the ads and the information and storys about it. The chapter ended with the book telling you that astronauts brang Silly Putty into space and how it is still a big hit today.

1.How is Silly Putty an example of a toy? It is fun to play with and heaps of people like how they made it, so it was concidered as a toy.

Chapter 4 started with the book trying to describe how a frisbee works. The chapter continued with the book trying to explain the history of the frisbee and how it started out as a pie tin. The chapter ended with the book trying toshow you how frisbees were made now and its trying to tell you how different frisbees were back two hundred years ago when they were first made to how they are now in the distant future of that time.
Chapter 5,6,7,8
The chapter started off with the book telling you that there is a soap that floats and it says that Ivory soap is the soap that floats. It continues with the chapter telling you the history of Ivory soap and how it is made .The cahpter ended with the inventors notebook saying how Ivory soap is going at the moment.
Chapter 6 started with the book asking you how you could get the sticky burrs off you after you go outside. The chapter continued with it telling you how George De Mestrel made velcro wich can help get those burrs off. The chapter ended with the inventors notebook telling you how a new inventions will cause problems for other inventions.
Chapter 7 started with the book telling you how Art Fry had a problem with making a bookmark that would actually stay in the the book without it tearing the pages when you take it off the book. The chapter continued with Art Fry having an idea, he ordered the weak glue that Spencer made long ago and it also says how the glue was a success. The chapter ended with the Inventors Notebook said that a post note travelled 4,800 kilometres on to the back of a caravan.
Chapter 8 started with the book trying to give you a quiz on what you would invent if you were in cold weather and then the book says that it will tell you how the earmuffs were invented. The chapter continues with the book telling you how earmuffs were invented. The chapter ended with the inventors notebook saying how the earmuffs have sold millions.
